Hi! all. How are you guys doing?
As for me, I have cought a heavy cold since last week and still be suffering running nose and sneeze. Maybe my cold came from my patient in pediatrics. Last week I was doing my rotation in Nakano children's hospital. This hospital is city hospital and has 70 beds. Most of the patients are under 4 years old and come here cuz of having common disease (I mean infectious disease).
My patient was 1years old cuty boy and having Adeno virus, hemolytic streptococcus and Rota virus. He was in separation ward.
Most of inpatients stay with their mother. So there is mother's bed by the petient's bed. But recently many women work like men. Sometimes it is difficult to be in attendance on their child 24 hr. Such patient goes in the separation ward. (separate from their mother) Most of the patients are under 4 years old as I said, they need our help everything they servive. I feed him every meal, helped to taking a bath, played with toys, haged him more than 1 hr everytime. Actually this kind of thing is job for nurse but I did. Cus I had nothing to do anything else.
He was so cuty! After 2days since I met him, he seemed to get used to me ane want me to hag when he see me with stretching his small arms. He might forget his mother, I dunno. If so, Poor boy.
I felt I wanna my baby as soon as possible:)) I know it cant be!
Besides I did night shift. This hospital also accepts emergency outpatients at night. 30~50 patients comes during a night. Most of the patients were not so severe. But patients came after another without rest. As a result I had to stay up whole night. And next morning came and day time shift started as usual. so tired..
1 weeks after I cought a heavy cold. But still I think about my lovely patient.
This weekends was worst. I stayed at home all day long even though holidays. Nothing special but boring.
